Cafeteria
Ranal Engineering
This project was to convert the open rooftop into a semi-open Cafeteria with bamboo and acrylic sheets. The project was executed such that it should not stop the open air breeze and the sunlight. The Software Company employee did not have space for Tea, coffee, and lunch. To do this, MS hardware materials were employed to fix strips on which creepers could grow, and the doors were made by combining bamboo and acrylic sheets. We have used treated bamboo strips and some hardware materials to fix the strips such that they should look good and creepers can easily climb on them. The door was a combination of bamboo and acrylic sheets. This project has become so popular that it was covered and published in India Today.
The vertical pattern of the strips is reminiscent of upright bamboo trips and gives the feel of being in the midst of a bamboo forest. The natural textures add to the warmth and liveliness of the space giving employees the perfect break from their hectic work schedules.
